Risk limits explained
Max Daily Loss
At the start of each server day the system records the higher of your balance or equity, then subtracts the applicable percentage of the initial balance. The threshold stays fixed through the day and resets at the daily rollover at 21:00 UTC. Closed results, floating P/L, commissions and swaps all count. It is 3% on Instant and One Trade, and 5% on 2-Step. Flash has no Max Daily Loss.
Maximum Loss
One Trade (6%) and 2-Step (10%) use a fixed Maximum Loss level set when the account is created — it never increases and never resets. Instant uses a 5% trailing limit that follows the highest equity ever reached, and Flash uses a 4% End-of-Day trailing limit based on the highest end-of-day equity. Reaching or falling below the level is a Hard Breach and closes the account.
Maximum Open Risk (Instant and Flash Funded)
The combined floating loss of all open positions may not reach or exceed 1% of the initial account balance at any time.
Maximum Risk per Trade Idea (Funded)
The maximum risk per Trade Idea is 2% of the initial balance. A Trade Idea can be one trade or several related trades on the same instrument, in the same direction, with continuity inside a rolling 10-minute window. The risk is the sum of each trade’s maximum negative floating P/L. Reaching or exceeding 2% within a single Trade Idea is a Hard Breach.
Consistency target
On Instant, your most profitable day may not represent more than 15% of total accumulated net profit. On One Trade and Flash (Funded), no single trade and no single day may represent more than 30%. 2-Step has no consistency target. Exceeding the limit does not breach the account and profits are not removed, but you cannot request a payout until further profit brings the percentage back to the limit or below.
News trading
Trading is restricted from 10 minutes before until 10 minutes after a high-impact economic event (identified using the Investing.com economic calendar, United States edition). During this 20-minute window you may not open, close or modify positions, place or modify pending orders, or let a pending order, Stop Loss or Take Profit execute. This applies on Instant, One Trade and Flash once Funded.
One Trade applies progressive penalties: first violation a formal notice; second cuts the next payout by 50%; third means the next payout is not paid; fourth closes the account.
Flash permits news trading during the Evaluation; once Funded, a confirmed violation is a Hard Breach.
Leverage
Maximum leverage is 1:100, applied by instrument category:
Forex: up to 1:100
Metals: up to 1:30
Indices: up to 1:20
Energies: up to 1:10
Crypto CFDs: up to 1:2
Payouts
Every challenge pays 80% to the trader / 20% to NYS Markets, with a maximum of 2% of the initial balance per payout request. A profitable day requires net profit of at least 0.25% of the initial balance. The server day runs from 21:00 UTC to 21:00 UTC. All positions must be closed and no pending orders may remain when you submit a payout request.
